Job Role: Android Developer
About the Role
Meesho is looking for an Android Developer to build and enhance mobile applications. This role is perfect for those with a passion for coding, mobile UI/UX design, and creating seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, testable, and efficient code.
- Perform code reviews and implement bug fixes.
- Optimize application performance and ensure smooth user experience.
- Design and build new features for Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product Managers, and Designers.
- Work on architectural planning and implement best coding practices.
- Guide and mentor interns or junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BTech/BCA/BSc) or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in Android development.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.
- Experience working on at least two Android applications.
- Understanding of Material Design guidelines and mobile UX best practices.
- Experience with common Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, RxJava, Gson, and Arch-components.
- Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and working with Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to optimize performance.
- Knowledge of MVVM architecture, multi-threading, debugging tools (ADB, Proguard), and background processing APIs.
- Previous experience in publishing apps on Google Play Store is a plus.
