About the Role
YouGov is looking for a Junior Analyst – Sports Media to work in Mumbai, India. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting sports media data to create insightful reports for clients. If you have a passion for sports, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, this opportunity could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities
1. Data Collection & Analysis
- Use specialized media tools to search for relevant data.
- Gather and analyze broadcast data, ensuring accuracy and identifying trends.
- Validate and verify collected data, resolving any discrepancies.
- Organize data using Microsoft Excel functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF formulas.
2. Report Writing & Presentation
- Prepare detailed reports that provide meaningful insights to clients.
- Use tables, charts, and commentary to present findings clearly.
- Proofread reports to improve quality and clarity.
- Assist in creating presentations based on data trends and insights.
3. Dashboard & Database Management
- Maintain and update dashboards with the latest data.
- Ensure accuracy in data management processes.
- Upload data to proprietary dashboards for easy access.
4. Client & Team Support
- Provide support to the Client Services team on special projects.
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members about project status.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF formulas).
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing skills for report preparation.
- Enthusiasm for sports media and data analysis.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience in media evaluation, especially in sports.
- Understanding of different media platforms and sports-related data.
- Ability to communicate insights effectively to senior management.
