About the Role
Deloitte is looking for an Application Security Tester – Analyst to work in its cybersecurity division. This role focuses on securing applications by performing security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities
As an Application Security Tester, you will:
- Perform automated security testing for applications.
- Conduct Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST).
- Analyze software composition for security vulnerabilities.
- Assist in technical scoping of security testing activities.
- Work on vulnerability management and infrastructure security.
- Identify and report security issues with clear solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and implement best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of security testing tools such as Fortify, Web Inspect, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Postman, and NMAP.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities for applications and APIs.
- Basic programming skills in Python, PowerShell, C#, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills for reporting security issues.
- Ability to work with global teams.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Offensive Certified Security Professional (OSCP)
- GIAC Certifications (GSEC, GWAB, GPEN, GMOB, GCPN)
