Job Summary
The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in NodeJS, AWS services, and database management while following best practices in development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Business Understanding
- Understand the business strategy and how it aligns with technical development.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure project goals align with business needs.
2. Development & Implementation
- Design and develop backend architecture using NodeJS and AWS Cloud.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases for efficient data management.
- Implement robust API services and ensure seamless integration with frontend applications.
- Optimize and maintain system performance and scalability.
3. Project Execution & Management
- Track project progress, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and best coding practices.
- Work closely with internal teams like Testing, Configuration Management, and Environment Teams.
- Resolve JIRA defects and maintain code quality standards.
4. Performance Optimization & Risk Management
- Implement best practices for system performance tuning and security.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to backend infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and governance policies.
5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in NodeJS and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services for deployment and hosting.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases.
- Understanding of Java for backend development (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in backend development.
