Internship Overview
This internship is part of the Infrastructure Security team. You will work on cloud security tasks, mainly focused on AWS. The goal is to help secure systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
You will also work with teams like IT, Security Operations, and Incident Response to build secure systems and learn how modern cloud platforms are protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn about system, network, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Use security frameworks like PCI, NIST, and ISO 27001 to apply security best practices.
- Help identify risks and fix vulnerabilities in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Automate security tools and create reports.
- Work with the IT and cloud teams to apply changes and security fixes.
- Write scripts to detect and respond to security issues automatically.
Required Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (preferably with a focus on cybersecurity, networks, or infrastructure).
- Programming: Some hands-on coding experience.
- Cloud Knowledge: Basic understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Infrastructure & OS: Familiar with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows, and Mac operating systems.
- Automation: Basic scripting using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
- Containers: Knowledge of tools like Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.
- Security Concepts: Basic awareness of OWASP Top 10, DDoS attacks, and endpoint security.
- Tools: Experience with automation/configuration tools such as Puppet, Jenkins, or CFEngine.
Soft Skills Required
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in teams and support ongoing projects.
- Passion for cybersecurity and learning new technologies.
