About the Team

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the open-source community to enhance Nutanix’s hypervisor technology.
  • Develop and optimize Nutanix’s virtualization stack, focusing on improving reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Research and implement solutions for reducing downtime and enhancing VM live migrations.
  • Participate in design discussions and propose innovative solutions.
  • Assist in resolving complex customer issues and escalations when needed.
  • Contribute to the Linux kernel and virtualization stack improvements.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to drive impactful product innovations.
  • Mentor junior team members and encourage knowledge sharing.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong fundamentals in operating systems and system design.
  • Experience in low-level coding and debugging on at least one hardware architecture, preferably x86.
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining enterprise-grade code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a global audience.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with x86 virtualization and KVM stack.
  • Contributions to Linux kernel and open-source virtualization projects.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in developing enterprise software.

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid Model: Employees will work both remotely and in-office for at least 2-3 days per week, depending on team requirements.
