Role Overview
The Associate Engineer – SDET/Test will play a key role in testing Qualcomm’s extended reality (XR) software stack and related technologies. The engineer will focus on testing multimedia applications, connectivity solutions (WiFi, USB), and game development kits like Unity 3D and Unreal Engine. The role also includes test automation, debugging, and user experience analysis.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Write and execute test cases for XR software and multimedia applications.
🔹 Set up test environments using software and hardware tools.
🔹 Develop test procedures and perform debugging to identify issues.
🔹 Automate test execution and result analysis.
🔹 Create test applications to evaluate new features.
🔹 Analyze user experience to improve Qualcomm’s multimedia solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
âś” Experience working with Windows, Linux, and Android.
âś” Strong knowledge of C, C++, and Python programming.
âś” Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS tools like batch scripting and Linux commands.
âś” Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
âś” Strong teamwork and communication skills.
✔ Ability to work from Qualcomm’s Bangalore office.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
đź’ˇ Experience in Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technologies such as OpenXR, OpenVR, WebXR.
đź’ˇ Knowledge of game and 3D app development using Unity and Unreal Engine.
đź’ˇ Expertise in video processing technologies (Video Decode & Encode techniques).
đź’ˇ Data analysis, scripting, and automation experience with Python.
đź’ˇ Understanding of image processing and computer graphics.
đź’ˇ Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning technologies.
đź’ˇ Knowledge of wireless networking technologies such as 802.11ad/ay, 802.11ac/ax.
