About the Role
Equifax is looking for entry-level software engineers to work on innovative projects in Pune, India. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates or individuals with 6+ months of experience in software development. The role involves working with Java, cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure), microservices, and UI development.
Responsibilities
- Apply basic software engineering principles and follow coding best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and release processes.
- Work with modern software development practices like serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Integrate software systems with corporate product platforms.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with an agile development team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ months of hands-on experience in Java programming.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with UI development using HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- Knowledge of backend technologies such as Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and Microservices.
- Familiarity with source control tools like Git/GitHub, SVN, and build tools like Maven and Gradle.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, XP).
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL).
- Exposure to Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI).
