TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) Overview
TCS NQT follows an integrated test pattern for hiring entry-level engineers. Based on test performance, candidates will be categorized into one of the following hiring groups:
- Prime
- Digital
- Ninja
The final job offer category depends on the candidate’s overall performance in the selection process.
Important Dates
- Registration End Date: Sunday, 23rd March 2025
- Test Date: Saturday, 15th March 2025 onwards
Eligibility Criteria
TCS NQT is exclusively open to candidates graduating in 2025 with the following qualifications from AICTE/UGC-recognized universities and colleges:
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)
- Master of Technology (M.Tech)
- Master of Engineering (M.E)
- Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A)
- Master of Science (M.Sc/M.S)
Academic Requirements
- A minimum aggregate of 60% (or equivalent CGPA) in 10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), Graduation, and Post-graduation (if applicable).
- No pending backlogs at the time of appearing for the selection process.
- No extended education; the course must be completed within the stipulated time.
- An academic gap of up to 24 months is allowed, with valid documentation.
- Full-time courses only (part-time or correspondence courses are not considered).
- Candidates who completed Secondary/Senior Secondary from NIOS are eligible if their Graduation/Post-graduation was done full-time.
- Work Experience: Postgraduate candidates with up to 2 years of experience can apply.
- Age Limit: 18 to 28 years.

Prime Category
- UG Offer: INR 9.0 LPA
- PG Offer: INR 11.5 LPA

- UG Offer: INR 7.0 LPA
- PG Offer: INR 7.3 LPA

- UG Offer: INR 3.36 LPA
- PG Offer: INR 3.53 LPA
- Engage in application development and maintenance.

TCS Hiring Application Process
Step 1: Register on TCS NextStep Portal
- If already registered under the IT category, log in using your TCS Reference ID and complete the application.
- If new, register under the IT category, fill in the details, and submit the application.
Step 2: Apply for the Drive
- Once registered, click on ‘Apply for Drive’.
Step 3: Select the Test Mode and Center
- Choose the In-center test mode and select your three preferred test centers.
- Allocation will be based on center availability.
Step 4: Track Application Status
- Ensure the status reflects “Applied for Drive”.
TCS Hiring Important Notes
- Carry all original academic documents for verification at the interview.
- Communication regarding the test will be provided by TCS iON.
- Beware of fraud: TCS does not send job offers via personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).
- No payment required: TCS does not charge candidates for employment offers.
