As part of our digital transformation, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer to contribute to the PS&L Service Layer, which plays a critical role in optimizing the transport of spare parts to our dealers worldwide. Our work ensures a fast, secure, and reliable flow of spare parts, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the Volvo brand experience.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Service Layer Developer, you will be part of an agile team responsible for building and maintaining middleware solutions that connect our major backend (mainframe) applications with front-end systems used in warehouses across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex solutions using microservices and legacy applications.
- Maintain and optimize the CI/CD pipeline for efficient software deployment.
- Collaborate with international teams to deliver cost-effective and impactful digital solutions.
- Solve data-related challenges and improve system performance.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality standards.
- Mentor and guide fellow developers and technical leads.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated engineer with expertise in modern software development and cloud technologies.
Required Skills:
✅ Proficiency in Java and microservices development.
✅ Experience in Spring Boot / Node.js for backend development.
✅ Strong knowledge of REST API development.
✅ UI development experience with React / Angular.
✅ Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
✅ Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-based integrations.
✅ Expertise in RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
✅ Experience with Kubernetes / Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
✅ Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
✅ Experience with test automation frameworks (good to have).
✅ Python knowledge is a plus!
