About the Role
Arm is hiring for a Front-End Developer to work on high-performance, flexible, and reusable web applications. This role involves working on Arm’s Design System, building frontend components and public-facing websites. You’ll be using modern web technologies like React, Redux, and Stencil.
This position may require occasional international travel for team meetings, events, or workshops. You may also be required to be on-call occasionally.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain front-end components using React, Redux, Stencil, and similar technologies.
- Contribute to business applications and Arm’s public websites.
- Collaborate in a high-performing development team.
- Learn from and contribute to other areas of the business.
- Ensure your code is reusable, scalable, and well-tested.
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and web basics.
- Knowledge of web security topics like CORS, CSP, JWT.
- Experience with modern browser technologies such as:
- Web components
- Shadow DOM
- Web workers or service workers
- Proficiency in building accessible and responsive user interfaces.
- Solid understanding of unit testing and automated functional testing.
- Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, especially build pipelines.
- A passion for UI/UX design and best practices.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with frameworks like React, Stencil, Vue, or Angular.
- Familiarity with Webpack, Vite, and CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, or Foundation.
- Knowledge of automation for cross-browser/platform testing.
- Understanding of backend technologies like Java, Node.js, or C#.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade single-page applications (SPAs).
