About the Role
NTT DATA is looking for a Security Managed Services Engineer (L1) to work on-site in New Delhi, India. This is an entry-level position focused on monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring that firewall security infrastructure remains operational. The role involves investigating incidents, identifying issues, and ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor client security infrastructure and solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Handle first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents.
- Investigate and determine the root cause of security incidents.
- Provide support via phone or chat when required.
- Schedule maintenance activities such as patching and configuration updates.
- Follow proper handover procedures during shift changes to ensure seamless service.
- Report and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Improve processes by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Support disaster recovery functions and testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CCNA or Level 1 Network Security certification is a plus.
- Experience: Basic knowledge and experience in troubleshooting security, network, data center, or system administration.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and management tools.
