About the Role

As an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (ASDET) at Swiggy, you will help ensure that the platform remains reliable, functional, and seamless for thousands of restaurant partners and users.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing on mobile applications (Android/iOS) to ensure smooth user interactions.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend functionality.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to cover all aspects of the application.
- Use tools like JIRA, Postman, and Charles Proxy to optimize testing workflows.
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to the testing process.
- Identify and manage defects, assigning severity and priority levels.
- Ensure thorough testing across multiple platforms and devices.
- Work closely with different teams to validate and execute test cases based on project requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of HTTP and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Selenium and Appium is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Java, Selenium, or Appium is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud-based testing tools like LambdaTest and BrowserStack is advantageous.
